Transwest Outdoor Advertising, <br />et al. -RCSC Case No. RIC 369081; Patrick Media v. City of Riverside - <br />RCSC Case No. RIC 336421; Outdoor Media Group v. City of Riverside - <br />RCSC Case No. RIC 253655, and USDC Case No. EDCV00-469 RT (AJWx); <br />and Valley Outdoor v. City of Riverside - USDC Case No. CV00- <br />370DT(CWx); and (3) claim pursuant to Tort Claims Act in matter of: <br />Community Health Corporation v. City of Riverside. City Attorney Priamos <br />announced that the City Council in closed session authorized the City <br />Attorney to initiate litigation regarding the one case of anticipated litigation, <br />and once formally commenced that litigation shall be disclosed to any person <br />upon inquiry, unless to do so would jeopardize the City's ability to effectuate <br />service of process on one or more unserved parties, or to do so would <br />jeopardize the City's ability to conclude existing settlement negotiation to its <br />advantage. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 2:50 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />ANNEXATION NO. 96 - LURIN WLY. OF BARTON - RESOLUTION - <br />ORDINANCE INTRODUCED - CONTINUED TO LATER IN DAY <br />Hearing was called to consider an annexation report and plan for providing <br />services and to establish appropriate pre-zoning and General Plan land use <br />designations to be placed on an approximately one-acre parcel developed <br />with a single-family dwelling located on the northerly side of Lurin Avenue <br />westerly of Barton Street for inclusion with 246 acres generally located <br />southerly of Van Buren Boulevard between Chicago Avenue and Barton <br />Street northerly of Lurin Avenue previously approved by the City Council on <br />April 1, 2003. One person spoke regarding the matter. Following discussion, <br />and without formal motion, the hearing was continued to later in the day.
