I apologize for not being able to meet with all of you in
person as I have a prior commitment in another city.
Thank you for allowing me to submit my input via written correspondence. I have reviewed the draft proposal that had
been submitted and my only concern is in regards to the Mayor becoming a voting member of the council. In my opinior
I believe this would confuse the constituents and there would be a perception that a project in the corresponding
council ward could have opposing views from the Mayor and corresponding Councilmember which could lead to conflict
the two bodies. I don't think this would benefit the constituents of the ward. It could potentially confuse the public as
to who has the final say over the ward and undermines the councilmember.
Best regards,
Councilwoman Plascencia
Get Outlook for iOS
