City <br />of Riverside - WCAB Claim No. 00000223; (2) §54956.8 to instruct the City's <br />Negotiators, Terry Nielsen and Mel Gutierrez, regarding price and terms of <br />payment for the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of 4928-4962 Dewey <br />Avenue by Schuyler "Skip" Jackson, Negotiator; and (3) §54956.9 to confer <br />with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning Save Islander Park <br />v. City of Riverside - Riverside Superior Court Case No. 369 226. Following <br />the closed sessions, City Attorney Priamos announced there were no <br />reportable actions taken on the closed sessions concerning Johnny Chapman <br />v. City of Riverside and the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of 4928- <br />4962 Dewey Avenue. City Attorney Priamos announced that the City Council <br />authorized the City Attorney to defend the Notice of Appeal filed in the matter <br />of Save Islander Park v. City of Riverside. <br /> <br />The City Council recessed at 2:40 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. in the Art <br />Pick Council Chamber. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />JOINT HEARING WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - ARLINGTON <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AMENDMENT NO. 3 - ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACT REPORT - RESOLUTIONS - ORDINANCE INTRODUCED <br />Joint hearing was called with the Redevelopment Agency to consider the <br />adoption of a Redevelopment Plan for the Arlington Redevelopment Project, <br />Amendment No. 3, and on the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR). <br />Five people spoke regarding the matter. One letter in support was presented <br />and considered. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially <br />closed. <br /> <br />Following discussion, the City Council (1) adopted a resolution certifying the <br />Final EIR and adopting findings and the Mitigation and Monitoring Plan for <br />the Arlington Redevelopment Project, Amendment No. 3; (2) adopted a <br />resolution finding that the provision of Iow- and moderate-income housing <br />outside the boundaries to be added to the Arlington Redevelopment Project <br />will be of benefit to the Project; and (3) introduced an ordinance approving <br />and adopting the Redevelopment Plan for the Arlington Redevelopment <br />Project, Amendment No. 3; whereupon, Resolution No. 20439 of the City <br />88-440 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
