Cultural Heritage Board Agenda October 16, 2019 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />1 Public Comments: This portion of the agenda will be limited to a cumulative total of <br />15 minutes, with individual speakers limited to a maximum time limit of 3 minutes. <br />Further discussion of any matter beyond 15 minutes will be continued later in the <br />agenda. If there is no one from the audience wishing to speak, the Board will move <br />to the next order of business. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />This portion of the Cultural Heritage Board Agenda is for all matters where staff and <br />public participation is anticipated. Individual audience participation is limited to 3 <br />minutes. <br />2 Historic Viewer Update - Innovation and Technology Department <br />3 PLANNING CASE P19-0487 (COA): Continued from September 18, 2019. <br />Certificate of Appropriateness request by Jim Broeske of Broeske Architects & <br />Associate, on behalf of Randall Neal, for the after -the -fact demolition, replacement <br />of the single-family residence main level and two -car garage, and expansion of the <br />basement, listed as a non-contributing structure of the Mount Rubidoux Historic <br />District. The project site is located at 4674 Beacon Way, situated on the south side <br />of Beacon Way between Ladera Lane and Redwood Drive, in Ward 1. It is <br />recommended that the Cultural Heritage Board determine the proposal is <br />categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review <br />pursuant to Sections 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction), 15331 (Historic <br />Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation), and 15303 (New Construction or Conversion <br />of Small Structures), as it constitutes the replacement of a single-family residence <br />compatible with the historic resource (Historic District), which is consistent with the <br />Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. <br />Contact Planner: Scott Watson, Historic Preservation Officer, (951) 826-5507, <br />swatson@riversideca.gov. <br />4 Annual Review of the Cultural Heritage Board's Rules for the Transaction of <br />Business and Training on the Rules <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items will be acted upon with one motion and without discussion as <br />recommended by the Planning Division unless a member of the Cultural Heritage Board <br />requests that an item be considered individually.
