RPU-7510TO INNERLINE ENGINEERING, INC.OF CORONA, <br />CALIFORNIA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $88,022–APPROVE WORK ORDER NO. 1623724 <br />FOR $433,000 <br />ISSUES: <br />Award Bid No. RPU-7510toInnerline Engineering, Inc.of Corona, California, for the construction of the <br />Exploratory Utility Pothole Work for the Jackson Street 24-Inch Recycled Water PipelineProject (Phase <br />II)in the amount of $88,022; and approve the expenditure of $433,000for Work Order No. 1623724that <br />includes abudgetary amount to cover upfront costs for the pipelinedesignby RPU staff. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />That the Board of Public Utilities: <br />1.Award a contract for the construction of the Exploratory Pothole Work for the Jackson Street 24- <br />Inch Recycled Water PipelineProject (Phase II)–Bid No. RPU-7510to the lowest responsive <br />and responsible bidder, Innerline Engineering, Inc. of Corona, California,in the amount of <br />$88,022;and <br />2.Approve the capital expenditure of $433,000for Work Order No. 1623724, which includesall <br />design, construction, paving, contract administration, inspection and construction contingency <br />costs for the Exploratory Utility Pothole Work for the Jackson Street 24-Inch Recycled Water <br />PipelineProject (Phase II). A budgetary amount is also included to cover upfront costs for the <br />pipelinedesignby RPU staff. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On June 12, 2017, the Riverside Board of PublicUtilities(Board) awarded a construction contract for the <br />Jackson Street 24-inch Recycled Water Pipeline Project(Phase I). This project is currently under <br />construction and will extend the existing 24-inch recycled water pipeline fromthe intersection ofVan <br />Buren Boulevard and Jackson Street to Don Derr Park traversing along Jackson Street, Magnolia <br />Avenue andMonroe Street. The new pipeline will expand Riverside Public Utilities’ (RPU)recycled <br />water system by providing recycled water service to customers alongits proposed alignment, and will <br />serve as a backbone for potential expansion of RPU’s recycled water system in the future. <br />The second phaseof this project is currently underdesign by RPU staff and will extend the 24-inch <br />recycled water pipeline along Monroe Street, Lincoln Avenue and Jackson Street to the intersection of <br />Jackson Street and Cleveland Avenue, and will extend an 8-inch recycled water pipeline along Cleveland <br />Page 22 <br />
