<br />REPLACEMENTSIN THE AMOUNT OF $6,851,000FOR A REVISED WORK ORDER
<br />TOTAL OF $7,335,000AND THE EXPENDITURE FOR WORK ORDER NO. 1727999
<br />FOR THE PRESSURE REDUCING STATION REPLACEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
<br />$599,000–TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $7,934,000
<br />ISSUES:
<br />Award Bid No. RPU-7569to Weka, Inc., ofHighland, California, forthe construction of the Magnolia
<br />Avenue Techite Pipe and Pressure Reducing Station ReplacementProject in the amount of $5,939,308
<br />including a10%or $593,930change order authority;approve a Professional Consultant Services
<br />Agreement from RFP 1826 withSCST, Inc. of Riverside, Californiain a not-to-exceed amount of $101,628
<br />for Geotechnical and Materials Testing Servicesthrough June 30, 2019;approve the increased capital
<br />expenditure for Work Order No. 1612632 for the PipelineReplacementsin the amount of $6,851,000for a
<br />revised work order total of $7,335,000 and the capital expenditure for Work Order No. 1727999 for the
<br />Pressure Reducing Station Replacement in the amount of $599,000 –for a total project cost of $7,934,000.
<br />RECOMMENDATIONS:
<br />That the Board of Public Utilities:
<br />1.Award Bid No. RPU-7569to Weka, Inc.,of Highland,California, in the amount of $5,939,308;
<br />2.Authorize additional change order authority for the Weka,Inc.Construction Contract in the amount
<br />of 10%or $593,930for Bid No. RPU-7569;
<br />3.Approve aProfessional Consultant Services Agreementfrom RFP 1826with SCST, Inc. of
<br />Riverside, California,for GeotechnicalandMaterials Testing Services for the Magnolia Avenue
<br />Techite Pipe and Pressure Reducing Station Replacement Project, term through June 30, 2019, in
<br />a not-to-exceed amount of $101,628;
<br />4.Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Professional Consultant Services
<br />Agreement with SCST, Inc.,including making minor and non-substantive changes;
