Recognize the following 2018 "Splash Into Cash — Bottled Water Label Art Contest" winners and <br />their teachers: <br />• Jasmine Zamora, junior, Norte Vista High School <br />• Jazlyn Sanchez, junior, Norte Vista High School <br />• Madeleine Chaffin, junior, Woodcrest Christian High School <br />• Audrey Alexander, senior, Woodcrest Christian High School <br />• Ms. Carole Coffman, teacher, Norte Vista High School <br />• Ms. Rhonda Thomale, teacher, Woodcrest Christian High School <br />2. Award the winners with their prizes. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The annual bottled water label art contest is held in conjunction with the "Splash Into Cash" program. <br />The Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) sponsored high school art contest is open to all public and private <br />high school students in the City of Riverside (City). Students design the label for RPU bottled water that <br />is distributed by the City through sponsorships throughout the year. To date, RPU has expended more <br />than $360,000 in program costs and has given out over 586,200 bottles of water to City schools. <br />Each contest winner receives $250 cash, copies of their winning label, and two cases of water featuring <br />their label. Winners also receive a certificate, copies of which are attached to this report. Art teachers <br />receive a $50 gift certificate from an art supply store for each winning entry. <br />Page 6 <br />
