ANX-080 <br /> <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 6265 <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6230 <br /> 3 AND AMENDING CHAPTER 19.06 OF THE RIVERSIDE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE TO PLACE THAT TERRITORY <br /> 4 KNOWN AS "ANNEXATION NO. 80--VAN BUREN <br /> BOULEVARD/WOOD ROAD" INTO THE RESTRICTED <br /> 5 COMMERCIAL ("C-2") ZONE, THE OFFICIAL ("O") <br /> ZONE OR THE LIGHT MANUFACTURING ("M-i") <br /> 6 ZONE AS IS APPROPRIATE AS OF THE DATE OF <br /> ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRITORY KNOWN AS <br /> 7 "ANNEXATION NO. 80--VAN BUREN <br /> BOULEVARD/WOOD ROAD" TO THE CITY OF <br /> 8 RIVERSIDE. <br /> 9 WHEREAS Ordinance No. 6230 was adopted by the City <br /> <br /> 10 Council of the City of Riverside in order to establish the <br /> 11 zoning to be placed upon that certain territory known as <br /> 12 "Annexation No. 80--Van Buren Boulevard/Wood Road" upon its <br /> 13 annexation to the City of Riverside; and <br /> 14 WHEREAS the Restricted Commercial ("C-2") Zone <br /> 15 established by Ordinance No. 6230 was meant to provide <br /> 16 sufficient depth from Van Buren Boulevard to include the <br /> 17 existing retail buildings on several of the parcels included <br /> 18 in the proposed annexation; and <br /> 19 WHEREAS the staff report considered by the City <br /> 20 Council at the time of the public hearing on Case ANX-080 <br /> 21 estimated the retail space within those buildings to be about <br /> 22 60 feet deep; and <br /> 23 WHEREAS the property descriptions of the zones <br /> 24 established by Ordinance No. 6230 contained a technical error <br /> 25 in that such descriptions inadvertently applied the <br /> 26 Restricted Commercial ("C-2") Zone to a depth of 60 feet <br /> 27 measured from the Van Buren Boulevard right-of-way line <br /> <br />Attorney's Office <br />Street <br />CA 92522 <br />782-5567 F:/WPDATA~ ORD k 96004101.
