RESOLUTION NO. 719 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE ADOPTING RULES GOVERNING PARTICIPATION AND <br />PREFERENCES BY OWNERS, OPERATORS OF BUSINESSES AND <br />TENANTS, AND RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />THE CALIFORNIA RELOCATION ASSISTANCE LAW AND PROPERTY <br />ACQUISITION FOR THE HUNTER PARK/NORTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has initiated proceedings to adopt the <br />proposed Hunter Park/Northside Redevelopment Project (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency, within a reasonable period of time before the approval of <br />the Redevelopment Plan for the Project, is required to adopt Rules Governing Participation <br />and Preferences by Owners, Operators of Businesses and Tenants (the "Owner Participation <br />Rules"), pursuant to Sections 33339, 33339.5 and 33445 of the California Health and Safety <br />Code (the "CRL"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CRL Section 33411 requires that the Agency prepare a feasible method <br />or plan for relocation of families or persons or non-profit local community institutions to be <br />temporarily or permanently displaced from within the Project area, irrespective of whether <br />any displacement of residents, businesses or others is anticipated; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7260 et seq. of the California Government Code requires a <br />public entity to provide relocation advisory assistance to any person, business, or farm <br />operation displaced because of the acquisition of real property for public use; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Owner Participation Rules for the Project have been prepared <br />following the provisions of the CRL; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency-wide Relocation Rules and Regulations were adopted on <br />September 15, 1998, and will be adopted by reference for the Project. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City <br />of Riverside, California, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The document entitled "Rules Governing Participation and Preferences <br />by Owners, Operators of Businesses and Tenants," attached hereto, is hereby adopted as the <br />"Owner Participation Rules" for the proposed Hunter Park/Northside Redeveloprnent <br />Project. <br /> <br /> <br />
