City of Riverside; and (2) Niomi Johnson v. City of Riverside, <br />WCAB Case No. 02-00-67. <br /> <br />Councilmember Adkison disqualified himself from participating in the <br />following closed session and left the City Council Board Room as his firm <br />(Adkan Engineers) is doing business with John A. Russo or has done so in <br />the last twelve months. <br /> <br />A closed session was held pursuant to Government Code §54956.8 to <br />instruct the City's Negotiators, Robert C. Wales and Michael J. Beck, <br />regarding price and terms of payment for the purchase, sale, exchange, or <br />lease of 1441 Massachusetts Avenue; 2830, 2800, 2770, 2730, 2720, and <br />2680Topaz Drive; 1421 Massachusetts Avenue, and 2831, 2801, and <br />2771 Turquoise Street; by lan Y. Nguyen; Blanca Espinoza and Felipe <br />Garcia; William B. Hawkins; Delbert L. Schroeder; Peter Gregory Morris, et <br />al.; John A. Russo; Ernest M. Ulfig; lan Y. Nguyen; Edwin G. and Maria C. <br />Cube; Gustavo and Cirilo Perez; and David H. and Pamela A. Flesner, <br />Negotiators, respectively. The City Attorney announced there was no <br />reportable action on the closed sessions. <br /> <br />The Mayor and City Council returned to the Art Pick Council Chamber with all <br />Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />CASE VR-109-023 - APPEAL - 1244 ORANGE - CONTINUED <br />At the request of the Planning Director the City Council continued to 3 p.m. <br />on April 8, 2003, discussion relative to the appeal of Administrative Variance <br />Case VR-109-023 by Chae O. Park from the decision of the Zoning <br />Administrator in denying his proposal for variances related to a garage <br />conversion and building addition on an approximately 10,600-square-foot <br />parcel developed with a single-family residence at 1244 Orange Street, <br />situated southeasterly of the intersection of Orange Street and Columbia <br />Avenue, in Zone R-1-65.
