The current
solar installations within the City have helped to decrease demands, and the establishment of the Power
Partners program has provided additional help to reduce peaks. The Water Division has been preparing
for summer peak demands by completing pump and well rehabilitation projects, and transmission and
supply main replacement projects. Electric Field crews are preparing for summer peak demands through
routine substation equipment and cable replacement projects. Based on these efforts, RPU is well
positioned to handle the projected summer 2019 water and electric customer demands.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact related to this Board action.
Prepared by: George R.
