1 ORD IN~kNCE NO. 6204 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING FOUR CORNERS PIPE LINE COMPANY A 3 FRANCHISE FOR THE RIGHT TO OPERATE, REPAIR AND MAINTAIN AN EXISTING 16-INCH INTERNAL DIAMETER 4 PIPELINE TOGETHER WITH ALL APPURTENANCES AND SERVICE CONNECTIONS NECESSARY OR CONVENIENT TO 5 PROPERLY MAINTAIN AND OPERATE SAID PIPELINE; WHICH MAINTENANCE SHALL INCLUDE REPLACEMENT, CHANGING 6 THE SIZE OF, ABANDONING IN PLACE AND/OR REMOVAL; WHICH FRANCHISE SHALL BE FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE 7 TRANSPORTATION OF OIL, GAS, GASOLINE, PETROLEUM, WET GAS, HYDROCARBON SUBSTANCES, WATER, 8 WASTEWATER, MUD, STEAM AND OTHER LIQUID SUBSTANCES IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE FOR A PERIOD OF TWENTY- 9 FIVE YEARS. 10 WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before 11 the City Council of the City of Riverside on January 3, 1995 on 12 the subject of considering the granting of a franchise to Four 13 Corners Pipe Line Company pursuant to its application, which 14 application is dated April 13, 1992 under the authority of the 15 City of Riverside Charter, Article XIII and the California Public 16 Utilities Code Sections 6201 and following. 17 WHEREAS, all protests and objections to the granting of 18 the subject franchise were heard and passed upon. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of 20 Riverside, California does ordain as follows: 21 Section 1: The right, privilege and franchise is hereby 22 renewed and granted to Four Corners Pipe Line Company, its 23 successors and assigns ("Grantee"), from time to time to operate, 24 repair and maintain an existing 16-inch internal diameter 25 pipeline together with all appurtenances and service connections 26 necessary or convenient to properly maintain and operate said 16- 27 inch pipeline, including cathodic protection facilities.
