<br />RIVERSIDE MUNIC„IpALMUSEUM - TASK FORCE - REF. TO MUSEUM BOARD
<br />A written report was submitted from Mayor Loveridge and Cha[=
<br />person Safford of the Museum Board recommending that the City
<br />Council (1) approve the creation of the task force as outlined
<br />in the report for reviewing the Museum functions; and (2) di-
<br />rect the task force to report their findings to the full City
<br />Council on September 6, 1994. The Mayor reviewed the matter
<br />and requested (1) the addition of Gary Bradley, Mary Alice
<br />Cline, Knox Mellon, Jonathan Green, Diane Seeger, Susan Henry
<br />and Bill Allen to the task force, (2) that Kathryn Safford be
<br />designated as the chair of the task force, and (3) that the
<br />City Manager's office identify and provide staff support to
<br />the task force. Ralph Joseph, a Museum Board member, and Mar-
<br />jorie von Pohle spoke in opposition to the recommended task
<br />force. Following discussion, the City Council approved the
<br />addition of the seven members to the proposed task force, the
<br />naming of Ms. Safford as the chair and staffing as requested
<br />by the Mayor; however, prior to taking final action on this
<br />matter, it was referred to the Municipal Museum Board for re-

<br />Historic Resources Director, concurred in by the Assistant
<br />City Manager -Development, recommending that the City Council

<br />VARIOUS STATUS REPORTS - CONTINUES
<br />Mayor Loveridge read a memo from the City, Attorney's office
<br />advising that agenda items 36 through 42 should be continued
<br />to such time as written reports identifying the topics to be
<br />discussed during the oral reports are prepared and made avail-
<br />able to the public. Following discussion with the City Attor-
<br />ney, the following reports were continued for one week, or
<br />until the written reports are submitted to the City Clerk for
