Following a brief discus- <br />sign, the recommendation was approved as presented. - <br />AWARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPT. PUBLIC INFORMATION CONTRACT <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the <br />Public Utilities Director, concurred in by Chairwoman Kane of <br />the City Council Finance Committee, recommending that the City <br />Council (1) award the Public Utilities Department public in- <br />formation contract to Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger Inc., in an <br />amount not to exceed $121,000, for the duration of the 1993-94 <br />Fiscal Year; and (2) authorize execution of the necessary doc- <br />uments. Bill Frolich spoke relative to the matter. Following <br />discussion, the recommendations were approved as presented. <br />CURRENT VACANCIES ON MEASURE C COMMITTEE <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the <br />Planning Director, concurred in by the Assistant City Manager - <br />Development and Chairperson Pearson of the City Council <br />Governmental Affairs Committee, recommending that the City <br />Council (1) appoint Mary Humboldt, David Foust (pending his <br />willingness to serve) and Charles Chapman to the Measure C <br />Committee; and (2) authorize the current Measure C Committee <br />members to decide who of the three will serve as an alternate. <br />Councilmember Pearson advised the City Council that Mr. Foust <br />has agreed to serve.
