STATUS REPORT/PARADE DISCUSSION
Attending: Terri Thompson, Bob Buster, Laura Pearson, Deen
Teer, Rita Morton
The Committee had requested that Rita Morton check alternate days
and times for parade with the chamber. Ms. Morton reported that
the chamber discussed this issue at their board meeting. The
chamber supports having parades held in the downtown. They want to
encourage attracting people to the Downtown because it enhances the
business there. The auto business owned by Mr. Valenson has
expressed displeasure in the Saturday parades. The Chamber would
like to work with those businesses who feel this way.
ACTION:
- Refer any business who opposes parades along the established
route to the chamber for resolution.
- Rita will work on transportation for residents who live in
La Sierra for Wednesday night on mall and parades. Come back
to Committee.
0819NOTE.RCC/a
