VICTORIA AVENUE REPORT <br />Attending: Terri Thompson, Bob Buster, Laura Pearson, Deen <br />Teer, Mary Humboldt <br />Mary Humboldt, Treasurer of Victoria Avenue Forever, presented <br />several issues of concern: 1) irrigation; 2) erosion; 3) weed <br />control; 4) new varieties of flowering trees; 5) management of <br />existing trees; 6) rodent control; 7) tree donations. <br />ACTION: <br />1. Request establishing a tree donation program. $150 x 400 <br />$6o,000. <br />2. Can advertise in spring brochure (May). <br />3. Use Victoria Avenue graphic as cover for Spring brochure. <br />4. Check on status of Claremont Program (finance portion). <br />5. May be Council could participate. <br />6. Approach large businesses in town to kick off effort. <br />7. Victoria Avenue Improvement Plan due in about a month. <br />8. Report to include comments from Public Utilities and <br />Redevelopment. <br />2. COMMUNITY PLAYERS ASSISTANCE/STATUS REPORT <br />Attending: Terri Thompson, Bob Buster, Laura Pearson, Deen <br />Teer, Bob Dyer, Mary McPeters, Barbara Sheldon <br />August 4, 1993 deadline for facility lease. <br />ACTION: <br />- Redevelopment is interested in working with Community Planers <br />and assisting with finding appropriate relocation. <br />Define project plan. <br />- Come back to Committee next meeting. <br />
