6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20351 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SALARY RESOLUTION NO. 20043 TO AMEND <br />THE SALARY PLAN BY ADDING A NEW SALARY DIFFERENTIAL TO <br />SECTION 5(B) TO PROVIDE FOR A TWO SALARY STEP (10%) <br />ADJUSTMENT FOR THE POSITION DESIGNATED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR TO SERVE AS CITY ENGINEER. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's ("City") Municipal Code requires the City Engineer <br />to certify that maps meet the City's criteria for streets, sewers, and storm drains; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Municipal Code specifically states that the "Public Works Director <br />or his acting designee shall be the City Engineer and shall exercise the powers and duties as <br />provided in this Code and any other applicable ordinance of the City"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS an ordinance has been introduced on this date amending the City's Municipal <br />Code to state: "The Public Works Director or his authorized designee shall be the City Engineer <br />and shall exercise the powers and duties as provided in this Code or any other applicable ordinance <br />of the City" ("Ordinance"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer must hold a valid Engineering License for the State of <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, when the Public Works Director does not possess a valid Engineering License <br />from the State of California, the Public Works Director must delegate such City Engineer <br />responsibility and authority to an authorized designee who possesses such Engineering License; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate to provide additional compensation to the person delegated <br />the authority and responsibility of the City Engineer when such person is not the Public Works <br />Director; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />California, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That Section 5(b) of Resolution No. 20043 setting forth the Salary Plan is hereby <br />amended to add a new two salary step (10%) adjustment as follows: <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 826-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
