AM-008-967 1 ORDINANCE NO. 6358 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 19.20.020(9) OF TITLE 19 OF THE 3 RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE A MINOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR FLORIST SHOPS, INCLUDING 4 INCIDENTAL SALES OF CARDS AND SMALL GIFT ITEMS WITH CERTAIN STANDARDS IN THE RO-RESTRICTED OFFICE ZONE. 5 6 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, 7 does ordain as follows: 8 Section 1: Section 19.20.020(9) of the Riverside 9 Municipal Code is hereby amended to change the requirement of a 10 conditional use permit to a minor conditional use permit subject 11 to specific standards and to read as follows: 12 "9) Florist shop, including incidental sales of cards and gift items, subject to the granting of 13 a minor conditional use permit and in accordance with the following site location and operational 14 standards: 15 A. Site Location Standards 16 1. The florist shop shall be located on the ground floor of any multi-story building. 17 2. Adequate parking shall be available to 18 serve the florist shop in accordance with Chapter 19.74. 19 B. Operational Standards 2O 1. The hours of operation of the florist shop 21 shall be determined by the Zoning Administrator in consideration of the prevailing hours of 22 businesses in the area and the type of 23 surrounding uses. 2. The primary purpose of the business shall 24 be the sale of floral products (i.e., flowers and ornamental plants). No more than twenty 25 (20) percent of the gross floor area of the business may be devoted to sale of gifts and 26 greeting cards. 27 3. No substantial adverse impacts on adjoining uses will result."
