1 ORDINkNCE NO. 6354 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY 3 AMENDING SECTIONS 9.20.010 THROUGH 9.20.160 IN THEIR ENTIRETY RELATING TO CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER 4 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, 5 does ordain as follows: 6 Section 1. As used in this Chapter, the 21 following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this Section: 22 (1) "Local emergency" means the duly proclaimed 23 existence of conditions of disaster or of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property within the territorial 24 limits of a county, city and county, or city, caused by such conditions as air pollution, fire, flood, storm, 25 epidemic, riot or earthquake or other conditions, other than conditions resulting from a labor controversy, which 26 conditions are or are likely to be beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment and facilities of the 27 political subdivision and require the combined forces of other political subdivisions to combat; Mtorney's Once ~re~ CA 92522 782-5567 F:\WPDATA~ORD~96185501.SG
