6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 20342 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CAI JFORNIA, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY TAX <br /> REVENUE TO BE EXCHANGED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> AND THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE RELATING TO ANNEXATION NO. 95 <br /> TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, that: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The County of Riverside and the City of Riverside are the agencies whose area <br />or responsibility for service would be affected by Annexation No. 95 to the City of Riverside. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Representatives of each of the affected agencies have met and negotiated the <br />following exchange of property tax revenue to become effective for tax purposes beginning on <br />July 1 of the subsequent calendar year following the date of annexation of the area described as <br />"Annexation No. 95 - North Orange Street, located northerly of Columbia Avenue and generally <br />bounded by Orange Street to the west, the Springbrook Wash to the north, the existing City limits to <br />the south and West La Cadena Drive and the existing City limits to the east." <br /> <br /> (a) The City of Riverside shall assume the service responsibility for the <br /> suppression and prevention of structural fires in the area to be annexed, for which <br /> purpose it maintains a fire department, and for such service assumption shall receive <br /> 100% of that portion of the property tax revenue generated within the territory to be <br /> annexed that is presently collected by the County of Riverside as a structural fire <br /> protection tax. <br /> <br /> (b) The City of Riverside shall assume the service responsibility for the provision <br /> of library services for which purpose it maintains a library system, and for such service <br /> assumption shall receive 100% of that portion of the property tax revenue generated <br /> within the territory to be annexed that is presently collected by the County of Riverside <br /> for provision of library services. <br /> <br /> (c) The City of Riverside shall assume the responsibility for all other general <br /> municipal services to the area to be annexed as are required by law or presently provided <br /> throughout the City, and for such service assumption shall receive 25% of that portion of <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 826-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
