FOR HIRE PERMIT AND DIRECTING THE C1TY CLERK TO ISSUE A PERMIT PURSUANT TO SECTION 5.40.060 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE TO CARRIAGES BY MARGARET WHEREAS, Carriages By Margaret ("Applicant") has applied for a vehicle for hire permit in order to conduct a horse and carriage service in the City of Riverside; and WHEREAS, the City Council has detemdned at a public hearing that the public interest, convenience and necessity allow the issuance of the permit applied for by Applicant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, that the City Clerk be directed to issue Carriages By Margaret a vehicle for hire permit for a period of three years in accordance with the application of Carriages By Margaret and for the purposes set forth in said application pursuant to Section 5.40.060 of the Riverside Municipal Code, subject to the filing and approval of proof of insurance coverage as provided in Section 5.40.080 of the Riverside Municipal Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, that as a continuing condition for the issuance of said permit, Carriages By Margaret agrees to be bound by such additional conditions for vehicle for hire and horse drawn carriages as may be adopted by the City Council during the term of their vehicle for hire permit. ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk this 4th day of February, 2003.
