1 ORDINANCE NO. 6342 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 10.76.010 OF THE RIVERSIDE 3 MUNICIPAL CODE DESIGNATING THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS FOR STREETS AND PORTIONS THEREOF IN 4 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 10.20.020 AND 10.20.030 TO REMOVE THEREFROM THE EXISTING 35 5 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT ON ~IAWARDEN DRIVE BETWEEN OVERLOOK PARKWAY AND MARY STREET AND ON MARY STREET 6 BETWEEN VICTORIA AVENUE AND HAWARDEN DRIVE SO THAT SAID STREETS OR PORTIONS THEREOF MAY BE POSTED WITH 7 A RADAR ENFORCEABLE 25 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT FOR A LOCAL STREET. 8 9 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, 10 does ordain as follows: 11 Section 1: Section 10.76.010 of the Riverside Municipal 12 Code establishing, pursuant to the provisions of 13 Sections 10.20.020 and 10.20.030 of the Riverside Municipal Code, 14 the prima facie speed limits on certain City streets or portions 15 thereof therein listed is hereby amended in its entirety in order 16 to remove the speed limit of 35 miles per hour on that portion of 17 ~awarden Drive between Overlook Parkway and Mary Street and on 18 that portion of Mary Street between Victoria Avenue and Hawarden 19 Drive so that said streets or portions thereof may be posted with 20 a radar enforceable 25 miles per hour speed limit for a local 21 street, which Section 10.76.010 is hereby amended to read as 22 follows: 23 "10.76.010 SPEED LIMITS. In accordance with 24 Sections 10.20.020 and 10.20.030, and when signs are erected 25 giving notice thereof, the prima facie speed limit shall be as 26 set forth in this Section upon the following streets or portions 27 of streets: Attorney's Office Street CA 92522 782-5567 F: ~WPDATA~ORD\ 9 6 2 3 7 7 01 .BP
