1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> 19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br /> 23 <br /> <br /> 24 <br /> <br /> 25 <br /> <br /> 26 <br /> <br /> 27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20334 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH <br />THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION FOR FEDERAL <br />TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE AUTHORIZED BY 49 U.S.C. <br />CHAPTER 53, TITLE 23 OF THE UNITED STATES CODE, AND OTHER <br />FEDERAL STATUTES ADMINISTERED BY THE FEDERAL TRANSIT <br />ADMINISTRATION, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO PROPANE-FUELED <br />SPECIAL TRANSIT PASSENGER VANS, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED THERETO, AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 20309. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration has been delegated authority to award Federal <br /> <br />financial assistance for transportation projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Riverside ("City") wishes to apply for a grant under the Urban Mass <br />Transportation Act of 1964 for the purchase of two (2) propane-fueled special transit passenger vans; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such grant or cooperative agreement for Federal financial assistance imposes <br />certain obligations upon the City, and may require the City to provide the local share of the project <br /> <br />costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has or will provide all required annual certifications and assurances to <br /> <br />the Federal Transit Administration. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br /> <br />California, as follows: <br /> Section 1. That the City Manager of the City of Riverside is authorized to execute and file <br />an application, on behalf of the City of Riverside, with the Federal Transit Administration for <br />Federal Assistance authorized by 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53, Title 23 of the United States Code, and <br />other Federal statutes authorizing a project administered by the Federal Transit Administration, for <br />two (2) propane-fueled special transit passenger vans for the Special Transit Program. <br /> Section 2.
