<br />1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20332 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE DECLARING THE RESUL TS OF THE <br />CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL ELECTIONS FOR COMMUNITY <br />FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2002-1 ON PROPOSITIONS <br />REGARDING (i) INCURRING A BONDED INDEBTEDNESS IN <br />AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000,000, (ii) THE ANNUAL <br />LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES TO PAY PRINCIPAL AND INTER- <br />EST ON BONDS AND (iii) THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN <br />APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 14, 2003, the City Council of the City of Riverside (the "City <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />Council") adopted a resolution determining the necessity for Community Facilities District No. 2002- <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />I of the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of California (the "District"), to incur a bonded <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />indebtedness in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 and calling a special election on a proposition <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />with respect to incurring such a bonded indebtedness for January 14, 2003, and providing for the <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />consolidation of that election with the election on the propositions with respect to (i) the annual levy <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />of special taxes on taxable property within the District to pay principal of and interest on such bonds, <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />and (ii) the establishment of an appropriations limit for the District; and <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 14, 2003, the City Council also adopted a resolution calling <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />a special election for January 14, 2003, for submitting to the qualified electors of the District the <br /> <br /> <br />proposition with respect to the annual levy of special taxes on taxable property within the District to <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />pay the principal of and interest on the bonds thereof and the proposition with respect to the <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />establishment of an appropriations limit for the District, and providing for the consolidation of that <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />election with the election on the proposition of the District incurring a bonded indebtedness (the <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />"Election Resolution"); and <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received a statement from the City Clerk, who <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />pursuant to the Election Resolution was authorized to conduct the consolidated special elections and <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />act as the election official therefor, with respect to the canvass of the ballots returned in and the <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />results of the consolidated special elections, certifYing that more than two-thirds of the votes cast <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />upon the propositions submitted to the voters in the consolidated special elections were cast in favor <br />of all such propositions; <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br />RVtlUB\RTA\6<15CJB7 <br />
