6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20331 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE CALLiNG A SPECIAL ELECTION AND SUBMIT- <br />TiNG TO THE VOTERS OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES <br />DISTRICT NO. 2002-1 PROPOSITIONS REGARDING THE <br />ANNUAL LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES WITHIN THE COM- <br />MUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT TO PAY PRINCIPAL OF AND <br />INTEREST ON BOND S THEREOF AND THE ESTABLISHMENT <br />OF AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53325.1 of the California Government Code, the <br />City Council of the City of Riverside ("the City Council") has adopted the resolution of formation for <br />Community Facilities District No. 2002-1 of the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of <br />California (the "District"), establishing the District and the boundaries thereof (the "Resolution of <br />Formation"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53351 of the California Government Code, the City <br />Council has also adopted a resolution determining that it is necessary that the District incur a bonded <br />indebtedness in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000/hr the purpose of financing the payment of the <br />amount necessary to pay, repay or defease the obligation of property in the District to pay bonded <br />indebtedness secured by special taxes levied on such property, as authorized by Section 53313.5(g) <br />of the California Government Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by that resolution, the City Council called a special election on the <br />proposition to be submitted to the voters of the District with respect to the District incurring bonded <br />indebtedness for financing the payment of such amount; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53326 of the California Government Code, it is <br />necessary that the City Council submit to the voters of the District the annual levy of special taxes <br />on taxable property within the District to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds thereof, if <br />such bonds are authorized and issued; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53325.7 of the California Government Code, the <br />City Council may also submit to the voters of the District a proposition for the establishment of an <br />appropriations limit for the District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk has advised the City Council that she has received a <br /> <br /> <br />
