CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />1 p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />November 19, 2002 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no comments presented at this time. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a <br />closed session pursuant to Government Code §54957 for a performance <br />evaluation of the City Manager. <br /> <br />The City Council returned to the Art Pick Council Chamber. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />VEHICLE FOR HIRE PERMIT - RIVERSIDE ACTION MEDICAL <br />TRANSPORTATION - RESOLUTION <br />Hearing was called to consider the application for a Vehicle for Hire Permit of <br />Riverside Action Medical Transportation under the provisions of Chapter 5.40 <br />of the Riverside Municipal Code to operate a non-emergency medical <br />transportation business. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. <br />No protests, written or oral, were presented. Following discussion, the public <br />hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) approved the application of <br />Riverside Action Medical Transportation for a Vehicle for Hire Permit; <br />(2) adopted a resolution directing the City Clerk to issue a permit for a period <br />of three years provided that the applicant meets the requirements of Chapter <br />5.40 of the Riverside Municipal Code; whereupon, Resolution No. 20300 of <br />the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Finding That the Public <br />Interest, Convenience and Necessity Permit the Issuance of a Vehicle for <br />Hire Permit and Directing the City Clerk to Issue a Permit Pursuant to Section <br />5.40.060 of the Riverside Municipal Code, was presented and adopted. <br /> <br />VEHICLE FOR HIRE PERMIT - VALLEY MEDI VAN - RESOLUTION <br />Hearing was called to consider the application for a Vehicle for Hire Permit of <br />Valley Medi Van under the provisions of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside <br />Municipal Code to operate a non-emergency medical transportation business. <br />Two people spoke regarding the matter. No protests, written or oral, were <br />presented. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. <br />The City Council (1) approved the application of Valley Medi Van to conduct a <br />non-emergency medical transportation business; and (2) adopted a resolution <br />directing the City Clerk to issue a permit for three years provided that the <br />applicant meets the requirements of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside Municipal <br />Code; whereupon, Resolution No. 20301 of the City Council of the City of <br />Riverside, California, Finding That the Public Interest, Convenience and <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />88-185 <br /> <br /> <br />
