CLOSED SESSION The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a closed session pursuant to Government Code §54957 for a performance evaluation of the City Manager. The City Council returned to the Art Pick Council Chamber. PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS VEHICLE FOR HIRE PERMIT - RIVERSIDE ACTION MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION - RESOLUTION Hearing was called to consider the application for a Vehicle for Hire Permit of Riverside Action Medical Transportation under the provisions of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside Municipal Code to operate a non-emergency medical transportation business. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No protests, written or oral, were presented. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) approved the application of Riverside Action Medical Transportation for a Vehicle for Hire Permit; (2) adopted a resolution directing the City Clerk to issue a permit for a period of three years provided that the applicant meets the requirements of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside Municipal Code; whereupon, Resolution No. 20300 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Finding That the Public Interest, Convenience and Necessity Permit the Issuance of a Vehicle for Hire Permit and Directing the City Clerk to Issue a Permit Pursuant to Section 5.40.060 of the Riverside Municipal Code, was presented and adopted. VEHICLE FOR HIRE PERMIT - VALLEY MEDI VAN - RESOLUTION Hearing was called to consider the application for a Vehicle for Hire Permit of Valley Medi Van under the provisions of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside Municipal Code to operate a non-emergency medical transportation business. Two people spoke regarding the matter. No protests, written or oral, were presented. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) approved the application of Valley Medi Van to conduct a non-emergency medical transportation business; and (2) adopted a resolution directing the City Clerk to issue a permit for three years provided that the applicant meets the requirements of Chapter 5.40 of the Riverside Municipal Code; whereupon, Resolution No. 20301 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Finding That the Public Interest, Convenience and Present Motion Second All Ayes 88-185
