1 ORDINANCE NO. 6429 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 1.01.115 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL 3 CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY TO ADD THERETO THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST AS ONE WHO 4 CAN ISSUE CITATIONS; AMENDING CHAPTER 6.08 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY REGARDING 5 REGULATION OF FOOD ESTABLISHMENT, FOOD FACILITIES AND FOOD HANDLERS; AND AMENDING TITLE 6 OF THE 6 RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW CHAPTER 6.09 REGULATING FOOD HANDLERS AND BY ADDING 7 THERETO A NEW CHAPTER 6.10 REGULATING THE SAFETY, OPERATION AND STRUCTURE OF PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS AND 8 SPAS. 9 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, 10 does ordain as follows: 11 Section 1. Section 1.01.115 of the Riverside Municipal 12 Code is hereby amended in its entirety by subdividing and 13 identifying individual provisions and adding thereto a provision 14 which authorizes County of Riverside Environmental Health 15 Specialists to issue citations for violations of specified 16 provisions of this Code. Section 1.01.115 shall now read as 17 follows: 18 "1.01.115 Issuance of Citations. 19 The persons holding the following positions shall have 20 the power to arrest or to issue a written notice to appear to any 21 person who violates the ordinances, code provisions and 22 regulations as set forth herein in the manner provided by Section 23 836.5 of the California Penal Code: 24 A.
