Jack Cartledge, Planning Technician, presented the staff report. <br />Michael Hunting, project applicant, presented his project and addressed <br />the neighbors' concerns regarding their view. Comments from the <br />audience: Dalip Sethi, Sergio Abucejo, and Nazem Skaf spoke in <br />opposition to the proposal and expressed their concerns regarding their <br />view. Andy Bodewin, HOA President and original developer of the <br />subdivision. He indicated that this tract was subject to litigation for two <br />years and was settled through appeals court and many meetings with the <br />Friends of Riverside's Hills. The pad location, pad heights, street heights <br />and future building heights were established at that time. As part of the <br />negotiation through the subdivision EIR, all the view sites were studied <br />as well as impacts to the surrounding neighborhood. The EIR was <br />finalized in June 2006. Following discussion the Planning Commission: <br />1) Determined that the proposed case is exempt from the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) subject to Section 15303(a) (New <br />Construction of a single - family residence), as this project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; 2) Denied the Appeal, Upheld the <br />decision of the Development Review Committee and Approved Planning <br />Cases P18 -0504 (Design Review), P18 -0574 (Variance), and P18 -0609 <br />Approved Planning Commission Minutes — October 18, 2018 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
