He expressed some of their
concerns: the proposed project is within an historic district, loss of parking,
F
height of the proposed building, its location across from the First
Congregational Church. He hoped that the Cultural Heritage Board would
be involved in the process so that their concerns may be addressed. Scott
Watson, Assistant Planner, presented the staff report. The applicant spoke
with regard to Condition 7. Although reuse of the window along the
northern elevation is a great idea, he noted that the window to be reused
is wider. He would recommend a new window to match existing. Jennifer
Mermilliod, Contract Historic Preservation Planner, noted that the
condition could be modified to say that the issue could be field verified and
leave decision to a later date. There were no comments from the audience.
Motion
X
Following discussion the Cultural Heritage Board: 1.
