Approved Planning Case P18 -0186, based <br />on the findings summarized in the staff report, and subject to the <br />recommended conditions, thereby issuing a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />for the project. <br />MISCELLANEOUS PLANNING AND ZONING ITEMS <br />REPORT FROM THE CULTURAL HERITAGE BOARD 50TH <br />ANNIVERSARY SUBCOMMITTEE <br />Board Member Ferguson reported that the Subcommittee recommend <br />November 8, 2018 for the date of the Cultural Heritage Board recognition. <br />The Subcommittee has identified venues for the event. Staff will be <br />researching the availability of the venues. <br />Mr. Watson stated that the City Clerk was able to provide a list of the <br />Cultural Heritage Board members since the inception of the Board. He <br />stated he would email the list to everyone and asked them to provide <br />contact information for those individuals they knew. <br />Board Member Ferguson also added that staff will work on obtaining a <br />proclamation for the Board from the City Council recognizing the <br />anniversary. The event will also kick off a six month of history and <br />preservation related events that would culminate with Doors Open. <br />Motion <br />X <br />MOTION was made to approve the plan put forth by Anniversary <br />Second <br />X <br />Subcommittee: to move forward to meet the proposed timing of the 50th <br />All Ayes <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />Anniversary and to move along with the discussion for funding. <br />ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDAS AND UPDATE FROM THE HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION STAFF <br />Mr. Watson reported that he and Board Member Parrish attended the OHP <br />Workshop in Long Beach. <br />Board Member Parrish stated that the California Office of Historic <br />Preservation workshop is very beneficial as it goes over local government <br />preservation and how it affects land use surveys as part of the land use <br />process. She added that this demonstrates that, although antiquated, <br />Riverside has a very good survey in place. The workshop also delved into <br />the Mills Act.
