CITY QF <br />RIVERSIDE <br />Cultural Heritage Board <br />TO: CULTURAL HERITAGE BOARD (CHB) DATE: March 21, 2018 <br />FROM: HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICER AGENDA ITEM: 2 <br />SUBJECT: WELCOME NEW CHB MEMBER PHILIP FALCONE <br />Philip Falcone: <br />A proud Riversider, Philip is active in a multitude of local groups and organizations. Most passionate about <br />philanthropy and historic preservation, Philip serves on the board of directors for the Riverside Museum <br />Associates, Downtown Area Neighborhood Alliance, Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful, and RAM's <br />Cheech Planning Committee. Obtaining degrees in Sociology, Art History, and Behavioral Science, Philip <br />believes communities prosper most when they are informed of and respect their past. Philip is a former staff <br />member for the Office of the Mayor working under the International Relations Officer on projects like <br />Riverside's Innovation District, the Long Night of Arts and Innovation, and Sister City relations. Philip <br />currently works for The Community Foundation on the Youth Philanthropy Initiative, a program that <br />mentors high school students on how philanthropy works in the Riverside region and beyond through grant <br />writing and grant approval. <br />Welcome Philip! <br />
