Under <br />Schedule D, residential customers receive a larger allotment of kilowatt-hours in tiers 1 and 2 in <br />the summer season than in the winter season. Upon review of seasonal temperatures in the Inland <br />Empire, RPU determined that early June is typically cooler than early September as summer high <br />temperatures have historically been extending into September; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed change to Electric Rate Schedule D is to shift the summer <br />period to better match the weather pattern of the Inland Empire by changing the summer season <br />to service rendered from June 16 through September 15 and billed from July 16 through October <br />15; and <br />Electric Schedule NEM Net Energy Metering for Renewable Electrical <br />Generation Facilities - Changes in Law <br />WHEREAS, the enactment of Senate Bill (SB) 489 amended California Public Utilities <br />Code (PUC) Section 2827 which applies to municipally -owned utilities; and <br />
