<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF
<br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (1) ADOPTING REVISED ELECTRIC RATE
<br />SCHEDULES A, BR, CS, D, D -T -O -U, ED, LS -1, LS -2, NEM, OL, PA, PW -1,
<br />S, TC, TED, AND TOU; REVISED WATER RATE SCHEDULES WA -1, WA -
<br />2, WA -3, WA -4, WA -5, WA -6, WA -7, WA -8, WA -9, WA -10; ELECTRIC
<br />RULES 3, 4, 5, 6 AND 13; WATER RULES 3, 4, 5, 6 AND 20; (2) MAKING
<br />FINDINGS OF FACT; AND (3) RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL
<br />APPROVAL THEREOF
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's ("City") Department of Public Utilities ("RPU") has
<br />submitted for action by the Board of Public Utilities ("Board") and the City Council, the
<br />proposed adoption and approval of revised Electric Rate Schedules A, BR, CS, D, D -T -O -U,
<br />ED, LS -1, LS -2, NEM, OL, PA, PW -1, S, TC, TED and TOU; Revised Water Rate Schedules
<br />WA -1, WA -2, WA -3, WA -4, WA -5, WA -6, WA -7, WA -8, WA -9 and WA -10; Electric Rules
<br />3, 4, 5, 6 and 13; Water Rules 3, 4, 5, 6 and 20, as further explained herein; and
<br />Electric Schedule D Domestic Service - Seasons
<br />WHEREAS, the current summer season for Electric Rate Schedule D is for service
<br />rendered from June 1 through August 31 and billed from July 1 through September 30. Under
<br />Schedule D, residential customers receive a larger allotment of kilowatt-hours in tiers 1 and 2 in
<br />the summer season than in the winter season. Upon review of seasonal temperatures in the Inland
<br />Empire, RPU determined that early June is typically cooler than early September as summer high
<br />temperatures have historically been extending into September; and
<br />WHEREAS, the proposed change to Electric Rate Schedule D is to shift the summer
<br />period to better match the weather pattern of the Inland Empire by changing the summer season
<br />to service rendered from June 16 through September 15 and billed from July 16 through October
<br />15; and
<br />Electric Schedule NEM Net Energy Metering for Renewable Electrical
<br />Generation Facilities - Changes in Law
<br />WHEREAS, the enactment of Senate Bill (SB) 489 amended California Public Utilities
<br />Code (PUC) Section 2827 which applies to municipally -owned utilities; and
