1 RESOLUTION NO. 2011-2 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (1) ADOPTING REVISED ELECTRIC GENERAL <br />3 SERVICE RATE (SCHEDULE A), DOMESTIC SERVICE RATE <br />4 (SCHEDULE D), ELECTRIC TIME OF USE RATE -LARGE GENERAL AND <br />INDUSTRIAL SERVICE (SCHEDULE TOU), ELECTRIC NET ENERGY <br />5 METERING RATE FOR SOLAR OR WIND TURBINE ELECTRIC <br />GENERATING FACILITIES (SCHEDULE NEM), WATER RESIDENTIAL <br />6 METERED SERVICE (SCHEDULE WA -1), WATER GENERAL METERED <br />SERVICE (SCHEDULE WA -6), FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AND FIRE <br />7 HYDRANTS (SCHEDULE WA -5), AND ELECTRIC AND WATER RULES <br />1, 6, 7 AND 12; (2) MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; AND (3) <br />8 RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL THEREOF <br />9 WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's ("City") Department of Public Utilities ("RPU") has <br />10 submitted for action by the Board of Public Utilities ("Board") and the City Council, the <br />11 proposed adoption and approval of revised Electric General Service Rate (Schedule A), <br />12 Domestic Service Rate (Schedule D), Electric Time of Use Rate -Large General and Industrial <br />13 Service (Schedule TOU), Electric Net Energy Metering Rate for Solar or Wind Turbine Electric <br />14 Generating Facilities (Schedule NEM), Water Residential Metered Service (Schedule WA -1), <br />15 Water General Metered Service (Schedule WA -6), Fire Protection Services and Fire Hydrants <br />16 (Schedule WA -5), and Electric and Water Rules 1, 6, 7 and 12, as further explained herein; <br />17 and <br />18 Schedule A Electric General Service and Schedule TOU Electric Time of Use Rate -Large <br />19 General and Industrial Service- Application <br />20 WHEREAS, the application of non-residential electric rate schedules is based on the size <br />21 of the customer's monthly billing demand, measured in kilowatts (kW). The demand criteria for <br />22 each of the three commercial rates are as follows: <br />23 Schedule A -Flat Rate < 20 kW <br />24 - Schedule A -Demand Rate > 20kW and < 150 kW <br />25 - Schedule TOU > 150 kW; and <br />26 WHEREAS, RPU must size the energy delivery system to meet its customer's maximum <br />27 demand at any time; the proposed recommendations change the criteria for determining the <br />28 applicable rate from the maximum demand during any three to the maximum demand during any <br />Crr, AirORa6Yf Orr14 <br />303MAIN MELT <br />RMICSIDE.CA91172 <br />C9311 /767367 <br />1 <br />
