WATER <br />FEES AND CHARGES SCHEDULE (APPENDIX A), AND WATER RULE 10; <br />(2) MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; AND (3) RECOMMENDING CITY <br />COUNCIL APPROVAL THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's ("City") Department of Public Utilities ("RPU") has <br />submitted for action by the Board of Public Utilities (`Board") and the City Council, the <br />proposed adoption and approval of revised Electric Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A), <br />Electric Rule 22, Water Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A), and Water Rule 10; and <br />Electric Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A) <br />WHEREAS, Electric Rule 8 provides temporary service for establishments not of a <br />permanent nature and for construction purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends updating the electric fees that the customer is required to <br />pay under Electric Rule 8 to reflect the increased material and labor costs since the fees were last <br />revised in 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 4, 2010, the City Council approved changes to Electric Rule 11 to <br />require an upfront deposit for all service designs and engineering; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has determined the deposit for design and is recommending that the <br />deposits be reflected in the Electric Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A), attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A; and <br />Electric Rule 22- Distributed Generation Facilities Interconnection <br />WHEREAS, under the current Electric Rule 22, RPU does not require Net Energy <br />Metering (NEM) customers to pay an application fee for staff costs only related to reviewing and <br />1 <br />
