1 RESOLUTION NO. 2000-4 <br />? A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A REVISED ELECTRIC RATE <br />3 SCHEDULE S, STAND-BY SERVICE, AND RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL THEREOF. <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's Department of Public Utilities ("Department") has <br />6 submitted to the Board of Public Utilities ("Board") proposed revisions to electric rate Schedule S, <br />7 Stand -By Service ("Schedule S"), to provide for an increase in the electric rate applicable to stand - <br />8 by or breakdown service for non-residential customers where all or part of the customer's <br />9 electrical requirements on the customer's premises are supplied by a generation source other than <br />10 the City, and in compliance with the Electric Rules; and <br />I I WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on November 17, 2000, to receive and review <br />12 comments upon the proposed revisions to Schedule S, was duly published commencing November <br />13 2, 2000; and <br />14 WHEREAS, the Board held the public hearing on November 17, 2000, to hear any <br />15 comments on the proposed revisions to Schedule S; and <br />16 WHEREAS, on November 17, 2000 the Board heard the Department staff's presentation <br />17 and materials regarding such proposed revisions; and <br />18 WHEREAS, these proposed revisions would reflect the City electric utility's current cost <br />19 of providing stand-by distribution and transmission service to customers with cogeneration and <br />20 distributed generation facilities; and <br />21 WHEREAS, the Board concurs with the Department's recommendation and concludes that <br />22 the recommended revised Schedule S should be established. <br />23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Utilities of the City of <br />24 Riverside, California, as follows: <br />25 Section 1: The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are adopted and incorporated <br />26 herein by reference as findings of fact of this Board. <br />27 Section 2: On the basis of the evidence submitted by the Department of Public Utilities <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 ,Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br />
