Marilyn Whitney spoke regarding the Ward 7 City Council <br />vacancy, Pastor Bob Gano, and medical marijuana. Tom Hunt spoke <br />regarding coyotes and responsive City services. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />LEGISLATIVE REPORT <br />The Intergovernmental relations and legislative update was not held. <br />WORKSHOP <br />PUBLIC UTILITIES QUARTERLY UPDATE <br />Following discussion and without formal motion, the City Council received <br />and ordered filed the quarterly update on the highlights, programs, and <br />initiatives of the Public Utilities Department. <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br />Motion <br />X <br />Following discussion, the City Council appointed Councilmember Perry as <br />Second <br />X <br />Mayor Pro Tem through December 2017. <br />All Ayes <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for <br />closed sessions pursuant to Government Code (1) §54956.9(d)(1) to confer <br />with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning City of Riverside, <br />et al. v. Greyhound Lines, Inc., USDC Case No. 5:16-cv-00796-AB-SPx; <br />(2) §54956.9(d)(1) to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel <br />concerning Amador L. Corona, Jr. v.
