CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> REDEVELC.'.--.-'NT ~=-NCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br /> Date: April 16, 2002 <br />Item No.: 3 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br /> (Cit~ Wide, Casa ]l~nen and Senior Grant Only,) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />13 042 <br /> <br />Mark & Gaye Dickerson <br /> <br />5687 Old Ranch Road (04) CW D/L $27,600.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to install a new roof and screens on all windows where missing, a spark arrestor, and insulation in <br />attic. Install two (2) new solid core entry doors at dining room area and hallway, a designated 20 amp circuit, two (2) <br />new light f'rxtures in kitchen and pantry, a range hood, two (2) water saving toilets, an aluminum roll-up garage door <br />and a 20 minute fire rated entry door and GFCI receptacle outlets in kitchen end baths. Paint exterior of home. Repair <br />four sliding glass doors to include screen doors at each end replace fence and gate left of garage, repair porch and stairs <br />as necessary. Bring hot water heater to code. Replace A/C unit end condenser. Paint entire interior of home. Replace <br />both faucets end exhaust fen in bath. Install sink on existing vanity. Areas containing lead base paint will be abated by <br />a Certified Lead Base Paint Contractor. Owner has lived at the property for 13 years. Yard is landscaped and well <br />maintained. There is no history of previous loans or grants. <br /> <br />13 067 Diamond Harper 7446 Santa Rosa Way (04) S/G $ 5,000.00 <br /> CB D/L $11,400.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to install 1" deedbolt lock at front entry door, keyed-alike, vented exhaust fen over existing stove, <br />two (2) new white water saving toilets, FHA carpeting, and a new light fixture in bath and medicine cabinet. Repair <br />electrical wiring in bedroom, wall heater with all hookups required, window glass panes over kitchen sink, remove <br />existing flooring. Check electrical throughout entire house. Eliminate substandard garage conversion and restore use <br />as a garage. Owner has lived at property for 43 years. Yard is landscaped and well maintained.
