<br />, <br /> <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br />Date: <br />Item No.: <br /> <br />March 19, 2002 <br />3 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval of the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br />(Arlanza, Arlington, City Wide and Handicap Grant Only) <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />detennined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the CDBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />13 083 <br /> <br />Alejandro & Leonor Arroyo <br /> <br />9754 Primrose Dr (03) <br /> <br />CW S/Grant $ 5,000 <br />ARL OIL $30,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to re-enforce foundation at kitchen and master bath. Install roof over entire house and no wax <br />vinyl flooring in kitchen and bathroom. Bring front porch up to code. Demo two existing illegal bedrooms and <br />patio. Back fill basement. Install flooring in kitchen, GFCI's in kitchen and bath. Remodel kitchen to install <br />cabinets, cupboards and drawers and install ceramic tile countertops. Repair plumbing in kitchen. Replace <br />kitchen window and outlet at wall. Check electrical throughout entire house. Remove flooring in living room <br />down to floor joists. Install ceramic tile shower surround in bathroom. Areas containing lead base paint will be <br />abated by a Certified Lead Base Paint Contractor. Owner has lived at the property for 12 years. Yard is <br />landscaped and well maintained. There is no history of previous loans or grants. <br /> <br />13050 <br /> <br />Shirley Sanchez <br /> <br />4056 Bandini Avenue (06) <br /> <br />CW S/Grant $5,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to repair deteriorated wood around the house and garage. A Certified Contractor will abate <br />areas containing lead-base paint, which will be disturbed during rehabilitation. Owner has lived at property for 25 <br />years. Yard is landscaped and well maintained.
