<br />li <br /> <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor & Agency Members <br /> <br />Date: <br />Item No.: <br /> <br />March 5, 2002 <br />4 <br /> <br />Subject: Request Approval oftbe CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Loans and Grants <br />(Downtown and City Wide Only) <br /> <br />Baekground <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of their contract, the Riverside Housing Development Corporation (RHDC) has <br />determined that the following applicants are eligible to participate in the COBG Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan/Grant Programs. These applicants are as follows: <br /> <br />14003 <br /> <br />Debra Slaght <br /> <br />3174 Mulberry Street (OI) <br /> <br />CW HA/Grant $ 5,000 <br /> <br />DT DIL $30,000 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to upgrade electrical wiring. Install doorbell, pedestal sink, wood framed screens, vent <br />screens, slate flooring, GFCI receptacles, radiant barriers in attic and garage, three (3) telephone jacks, ceramic <br />tile counters, light fIXture in kitchen, grab bar in shower, handrail by toilet and two single hung glass pane <br />windows. Repair any damaged exterior siding of house. R~pipe all plumbing and drains. Remove swamp <br />cooler and shower enclosure. Install slate flooring in dining and kitchen. Modify entire kitchen to disability <br />access. Replace under sink plumbing, patch and repair holes. Replace existing stove with new stovetop. Areas <br />containing lead-based paint will be abated by a Certified Lead Based Paint Contractor. Owner has lived at the <br />property for 3 years. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. There is no history of previous loans or grants. <br /> <br />13 067 <br /> <br />Diamond Harper <br /> <br />7446 Santa Rosa Way (04) <br /> <br />CW ER/Grant $585.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used for replacement of hot water heater. Install new 50-gallon water heater, new gas shut off valve <br />and supply lines. Owner has lived at property for 43 years. Yard is landscaped and well maintained. This is a <br />Citywide Emergency Grant.
