9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> <br /> 16 <br /> <br /> 17 <br /> <br /> 18 <br /> <br /> 19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 695 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA WAIVING THE PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT <br /> SELECTION PROVISIONS OF ADMINISTRATIVE MANUAL, POLICY <br /> NUMBER 11-4 AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO <br /> EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT AND EXTENSION TO THE PROFESSIONAL <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH INTEGRATED DESIGN SERVICES, INC., <br /> FOR STRUCTURAL REPAIRS FOR PARKING STRUCTURES 1 AND 2. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside (the "Agency") entered <br /> into that certain Professional Services Agreement dated September 5, 2001 ("Agreement") wherein <br /> Integrated Design Services, Inc. agreed to render structural evaluation and assessment in <br /> connection with the assessment of necessary structural repairs for Parking Structures 1 and 2; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Integrated Design Services, Inc., (hereinafter "IDS") has performed a <br /> structural evaluation/assessment of the condition of Parking Structures 1 and 2 with specific <br /> attention as to structural damage and corrosion; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, IDS initial structural evaluation/assessment has noted many uncertainties of <br />the existing conditions in both parking structures and has recommended a Pilot Structural Repair <br />Program to verify the existing conditions of the damaged areas; to verify the feasibility and <br />effectiveness of the repairs; to provide a more accurate estimate of the construction cost and time <br />of construction; and to provide a more defined structural evaluation/assessment so that the parking <br />structure repair work may be thereafter sent out to bid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pilot Structural Repair Program proposed by IDS may be a critical <br />component in extending the life span of the parking structures; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the Agency to continue to retain IDS to <br />expand its structural evaluation/assessment of Parking Structures 1 and 2 to include the <br />implementation of the Pilot Structural Repair Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency desires to enter into a First Amendment and Extension to the <br />Professional Services Agreement with IDS to extend the term of the Agreement and amend <br />portions of the Agreement to expand the scope of services to include implementation of the Pilot <br />Structural Repair Program and to revise the original amount of compensation to increase said <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 826-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
