1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br /> 24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20085 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPLICATION FOR THE CALIFORNIA HERITAGE <br />FUND GRANTS PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, <br />CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT <br />OF 2000; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE VICTORIA AVENUE HISTORIC <br />RESTORATION PROJECT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION; ACCEPTING SAID GRANT; AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved grant <br />funds for the California Heritage Fund; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Historic Preservation has been delegated the responsibility for the <br />administration of the grants program, setting up necessary roles and procedures; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the Office of Historic Preservation require <br />the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of application before submission of said <br />application to the Office of Historic Preservation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a contract with the Office of Historic Preservation for <br />said project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby: <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for local assistance fimds in the amount of $200,000 <br />from the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of <br />2000/California Heritage Fund; and <br /> <br /> 2. Certifies that the City of Riverside understands the assurances and certification in the <br />application form; and <br /> <br /> 3. Certifies that all archeological investigations, studies, and reports used as the basis for work <br />on this grant-fimded property, as well as interpretation and mitigation, will be professionally <br />prepared an approved by a qualified archeologist for conformance with IIlt,~CLelgl:Y~)~3~ <br />Interior's Standards for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Where appropriate, demonstrate <br />consultation with the local Native Americans, or other appropriate groups. <br /> <br /> 4.
