1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> <br /> 16 <br /> <br /> 17 <br /> <br /> 18 <br /> <br /> 19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br /> 23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 20084 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 20044 ESTABLISHING THE FRINGE <br />BENEFITS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES BY AMENDING SECTION 1 RELATED TO <br />HOLIDAYS FOR THE FIRE UNIT AND FIRE MANAGEMENT GROUP; BY AMENDING <br />SECTION 17 RELATED TO HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE FIRE <br />MANAGEMENT GROUP AND FIRE CHIEF; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 22 <br />RELATED TO RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTION FOR SAFETY MEMBERS; ALL IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING ENTERED INTO <br />WITH SAID GROUPS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of Management for the City of Riverside have met and <br />conferred with the Fire Management Group and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding <br />regarding wages, hours, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Riverside <br /> <br />City Firefighters' Association (RCFA) was approved on November 20, 2001, but the <br />attachments to the report were incomplete, and therefore the language approved in the associated <br />resolution did not reflect the MOU; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />California, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Paragraph (f) of Section 1, Holidays, of Resolution No. 20044, as amended <br />from time to time, shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (f) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary hereinabove, all current employees in <br /> the Fire Unit and Fire Management Group, shall make a one-time designation, <br /> regarding the form in which all future holiday compensation will be received, <br /> which designation shall be binding for the remainder of that employee's career <br /> in the City Fire Department. All new employees shall make this irrevocable <br /> election upon commencement of employment.
