CITY OI - UVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />CObNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />3p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />December 18, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tempom Pearson called the <br />meeting to order at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />ZONING CASE VR-043-012 - APPEAL - 1760 MARLBOROUGH - CONT. <br />3 P.M.-Further hearing was called on the appeal of Brett Acrey, Acmy Fence <br />Company, from the decision of the Planning Commission in denying the <br />proposal of Trip Hord, on behalf of Acrey Fence Company, for variances <br />related to a fencing business with outdoor storage on approximately 1.3 acres <br />developed with two vacant buildings at 1760 Marlborough Avenue situated on <br />the southerly side of Marlborough Avenue easterly of the Gage Canal in <br />Zones M-1-SP. Variances requested: To allow (1) no on-site landscape <br />setback along Marlborough Avenue where a minimum twenty-foot landscape <br />setback for parking and forty-foot landscape setback for storage is required; <br />(2) a six-foot-high tubular steel and chain link fence within the front yard <br />setback where a maximum three-foot-high fence is permitted; (3) an open <br />work fence and landscaping to screen outdoor storage where a solid wall is <br />required; and (4) six parking spaces where 23 parking spaces are required. <br />Three people spoke regarding the project. No written protests were <br />presented. Following discussion, the City Council continued consideration of <br />the matter to 3 p.m. on January 6, 2002. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Adkison and Thompson excused themselves at this time <br />and left the Art Pick Council Chamber. <br /> <br />PLANNING REFERRAL AND APPEAL <br /> <br />CASE VR-059-012 - APPEAL - 10252 MANDALAY - CONTINUED <br />At the request of the appellant, the City Council continued to 3 p.m. on <br />January 8, 2002, discussion relative to the appeal of Case VR-059-012 by <br />Frederick N. Lambert from the decision of the Zoning Administrator in <br />denying his request to legalize recreational vehicle (RV) parking along the <br />westerly side of the residence and the pavement of an approximately 12 1/,~_ <br />foot-wide by 22-foot-long strip in the front yard setback and along the <br />westerly side of a single-family residence located at 10252 Mandalay Court, <br />in Zone R-1-65. Administrative variances requested: To allow (a) paving in a <br />location within the front yard area not permitted under the Zoning Code; and <br />(b) RV parking along the westerly interior side setback when the Code only <br />allows RV parking within an interior side yard setback adjacent to the <br />property's existing garage or carport. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />87-201 <br /> <br /> <br />
