CITY Or UVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />CObNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />1 p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />December 18, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson called the <br />meeting at order at 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The City Council recessed for a closed session pursuant to Government <br />Code §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated <br />representatives regarding the Fire Management Unit. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />JOINT HEARING WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - DISPOSITION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT - 7606 FREDA - CONTINUED <br />2 P.M.--Hearing was called to consider the disposition of certain real property <br />by the Agency to the Riverside Housing Development Corporation <br />(Developer), a non-profit corporation, pursuant to the terms and provisions of <br />a Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA). The proposed DDA <br />constitutes private and public activities and undertaking pursuant to and in <br />furtherance of the Redevelopment Plan for the Casa Bianca Redevelopment <br />Project. Under the terms of the DDA, the Redevelopment Agency would <br />convey to the Developer one existing developed property located within the <br />Casa Blanca Redevelopment Project Area at 7606 Freda Avenue and the <br />Developer would rehabilitate and sell the property. At the request of staff, the <br />City Council continued the public hearing to January 15, 2002, at 2 p.m. <br /> <br />JOINT HEARING WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - DISPOSITION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT - 4206 PARK - RESOLUTION <br />2 P.M--Hearing was called to consider a Disposition and Development <br />Agreement for Habitat for Humanity to develop two lots at 4206 Park Avenue <br />and approve a resolution authorizing the land disposition as a public benefit <br />to the elimination of blight and provision of affordable housing in the <br />University CorridodSycamore Canyon Redevelopment Project Area. One <br />person spoke in support of the project. No protests, written or oral, were <br />presented. The public hearing was officially closed. The City Council <br />adopted a resolution allowing the Redevelopment Agency to dispose of real <br />property pursuant to California Community Redevelopment Law Section <br />33433 (b) that makes the finding that the land sale as outlined in the written <br />staff report at no less than fair reuse value will eliminate blight and provide <br />affordable housing for Iow- to moderate-income persons; whereupon, <br />Resolution No. 20064 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, <br />Approving That Certain Disposition and Development Agreement By and <br />Between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside and Habitat for <br />Humanity, Riverside, Inc., a Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation, was <br />presented and adopted. <br /> 87-199 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
