IVERSlDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />2p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />November 6, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. and <br />announced that Councilmember Adkison is representing the City at a <br />Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting regarding a Tract Map. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a <br />closed session pursuant to Government Code §54956.8 to instruct the City's <br />negotiator, Carol Chiodo, regarding price and terms of payment for the <br />purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of 180 E. Linden Street by Edward C. <br />Last, negotiator. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 2:30 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. with all <br />Councilmembers present except Councilmember Adkison. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />INTERPRETATION CASE IN-001-012 -APPEAL - 3957 PIERCE - CONT. <br />At the request of the appellant, the City Council continued to 3 p.m. on <br />December 4, 2001, discussion relative to the appeal of Interpretation Case <br />IN-001-012 by Edward J. Hoke, on behalf of Lyon Management Group, from <br />the decision of the Planning Commission in denying the request for an <br />interpretation of Municipal Code Chapter 19.76 to determine if a "V-shaped" <br />monument sign proposed for the Corona Pointe Apadments located at <br />3957 Pierce Street situated on the westerly side of Pierce Street and north of <br />the Riverside (91) Freeway constitutes a monument sign with more than two <br />sign faces as defined in the Sign Ordinance. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-015-012 - 10120 INDIANA- APPEAL DENIED <br />Discussion was held relative to the appeal of Zoning Case CU-015-012 by <br />Jeanine A. Scalero of Jackson, De Marco & Peckenpaugh on behalf of Kal M. <br />and Arya D. Zam from the decision of the Zoning Administrator in denying the <br />request of Arya Zam on behalf of United California Investment Group for a <br />minor conditional use permit to establish on-site beer and wine sales in an <br />approximately 2,625-square-foot lease space within an existing commercial <br />center at 10120 Indiana Avenue in Zones C-2-S-2-X. Following discussion, <br />the City Council upheld the decision of the Zoning Administrator and denied <br />the appeal of Zoning Case CU-015-012. <br /> <br />CASE GP-001-012 - CALIFORNIA/MONROE -APPEAL DENIED <br />3 P.M.--Further hearing was called to consider the appeal of Fuad Modiri, on <br />behalf of MTO Shahmaghsoudi, from the decision of the Planning <br />Commission in denying the request to amend the General Plan to <br /> 87-144 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
