CITY OF .,'IVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNCILMEMBERS Minutes of: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Date of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council 3p.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall October 16, 2001 WARDS Roll Call: PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS CASE GP-001-012 - APPEAL - CALIFORNIA AND MONROE - CONTINUED 3 P.M.--Further hearing was called to consider the appeal of Fuad Modiri, on behalf of MTO Shahmaghsoudi, from the decision of the Planning Commission in denying the request to amend the General Plan to redesignate approximately 1.2 acres of undeveloped land located at the southerly corner of California Avenue and Monroe Street from the Medium Density Residential to the Retail Business and Office Designation. At the request of the appellant, the City Council continued the public hearing to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2001. ZONING CASE RZ-001-012 - APPEAL - CALIFORNIA AND MONROE - CONTINUED 3 P.M.--Further hearing was called to consider the appeal of Fuad Modiri, on behalf of MTO Shahmaghsoudi, from the decision of the Planning Commission in denying the proposal to place approximately 1.2 acres of undeveloped land located at the southerly corner of California Avenue and Monroe Street in Zone C-2 and remove same from Zone R-1-65, with the City Councit to also consider supplementing the requested zoning with Zones S and X. At the request of the appellant, the City Council continued the public hearing to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2001. CASE VC-007-001 NORTHGATE BETVVEEN COLUMBIA AND PALMYRITA - RESOLUTION 3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of KCT Consultants, on behalf of Sabert Corporation, to vacate the easterly thirty-three feet of Northgate Street between Columbia Avenue and Palmyrita Avenue. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No written protests were presented. The public hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving Case VC-007-001 subject to conditions; (2) adopted the staff report and environmental assessment as findings; (3) determined that the proposed project will not have a significant effect on the environment and concurred in the adoption of a Negative Declaration; (4) determined that the project would not have an adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code; whereupon, Resolution No. 20021 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Making Its Findings and Determinations in the Matter of Resolution of Intention No. 20012; Reserving an Easement and Right to Construct, Maintain, Operate, Replace, Remove, Renew and Enlarge Lines of Pipe, Conduits, Cables, Wires, Poles, and Other Convenient Structures, Equipment and Fixtures, For the Operation of Sanitary Sewers, Gas Line Facilities, 87-126 Present Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes
