CITY O! - ' IVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />2p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />September 25, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tempore Pearson called the <br />meeting to order. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />JOINT ITEM WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - LEASE AGREEMENT - <br />SUITE N-6 AT CALIFORNIA TOWER - 3740 MISSION INN <br />2 P.M.--Joint hearing was called with the Redevelopment Agency pursuant to <br />the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California to consider a <br />Lease Agreement between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br />Riverside and GSM Wireless, Inc., for the lease of Suite N-6 located within <br />the California Tower Building at 3740 Mission Inn Avenue in the Merged <br />Downtown/Airport Industrial Redevelopment Project Area. No one was <br />presented wishing to speak on the matter. No protests, written or oral, were <br />presented. The City Council approved the proposed lease as being <br />consistent with the California Tower Leasing Program. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Councitmember Moore arrived during the closed session. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a <br />closed session pursuant to Government Code §54957 for performance <br />evaluation of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 2:45 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. with the <br />Mayor and all Members present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />MOBILE HOME PARK RENT STABILIZATION - ANNUAL PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />3 PM.--Hearing was called to consider the annual review of the report of the <br />City Manager relative to the provisions of Chapter 5.75 of the Riverside <br />Municipal Code concerning activities undertaken during the past 12-month <br />period relative to mobile home park rent stabilization procedures. Staff <br />advised that the amount of allowable increase in rent for 2002 is 2.9 percent <br />according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Three people spoke in support <br />of mobile home park rent stabilization. Four letters in support of mobile home <br />park rent stabilization were presented.
