BOARD OF ETHICS <br />THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2016, 5 P.M. <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />MINUTES <br />PRESENT: Members Ford, Foley, Nelson, Stahovich, Macias, House, Huerta, <br />Tucker, and Wright <br />ABSENT: None <br />STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Nicol and Assistant City Attorney Hansen <br />Chair House convened the meeting at 5 p.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one present wishing to speak. <br />MINUTES <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Stahovich and seconded by Member <br />Nelson to approve the minutes of August 31, 2016, as presented. The motion carried <br />with all ayes and Member Tucker abstaining. <br />SELECTION OF CHAIR <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Member Tucker and seconded by Member <br />Stahovich to select Erin House as Chair. Motion carried unanimously. <br />SELECTION OF VICE -CHAIR <br />Members Nelson and Huerta volunteered to serve as Vice - Chair. Following discussion, <br />Member Huerta was selected as Vice -Chair by the following vote: <br />Nelson: Members Foley, Nelson, Stahovich, and Tucker <br />Huerta: Members Ford, Wright, House, Huerta, and Macias <br />STANDING RULES <br />Following discussion and a report by Assistant City Attorney Hansen on the proposed <br />Standing Rules, it was moved by Member Nelson and seconded by Member Stahovich <br />to adopt the Standing Rules as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />BROWN ACT TRAINING <br />Assistant City Attorney Hansen presented training on the Ralph M. Brown Act, the State's <br />open meeting law. No formal action was required or taken. <br />1 <br />
