CITY O}, IVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />August 14, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. following <br />completion of the Redevelopment Agency meeting. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee Chair <br />Paul Adkins who made a presentation to the Mayor and City Council in appreciation of <br />their support for Veterans and the Riverside National Cemetery. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Acting Museum Director Dr. Vince Moses who introduced <br />Sally Shelton and Ann Koski of the American Association of Museums Accreditation <br />Team. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Police Officer Rodney <br />McMillan, Public Safety Officer for the month of August 2001, who was honored by <br />the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. <br /> <br />CELEBRATING RWERS1DE <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Councilmember Moore to recognize Riverside Faith <br />Temple Church Pastor Joseph L. Sims for the magnificent church property <br />improvements and his continuing efforts to do great things for the community. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item; with Councilmember Beaty disqualifying himself from voting on the item relative <br />to the Ericsson Line Interface Module telephone system for Park and Recreation <br />Administration and Community Policing facilities at White Park. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of July 24, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANN1NG COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-028-978 (REVISED) - 591 WEST LA CADENA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to <br />conditions the proposal of Jerry McComber of Santiago Construction Company for a <br />revised conditional use permit to expand an existing manufactured home sales complex <br />by adding a 2,400-square-foot, single-story, metal building in the northwest (rear) <br />portion of the property at 591 West La Cadena Drive situated on the northwesterly side <br /> <br /> 87-34 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
