CITY .IVERSIDE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />June 5, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Eva Webster, Office of Neighborhoods, and Kathy Wright, Alvord Unified School <br />District, presented a check to Maria Gonzalez as First Place award in the At Home in <br />Riverside logo contest. <br /> <br />Public Utilities Director Tom Evans introduced the Electric and Water Safety <br />Committee chairpersons who presented commemorative shirts to the Mayor and City <br />Council recognizing one year of work without a lost-time accident. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of May 22, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />STORM DRAIN EASEMENT - CITY OF REDLANDS <br />The City Council approved the recommendation of the Board of Public Utilities and <br />staff to (1) approve the request from P.I.B. Realty Advisors to grant a storm drain <br />easement across the City of Riverside's property along the Santa Ana River at the end <br />of California Street in the City of Redlands; and (2) authorize the City Manager or his <br />designee to execute a Corporation Grant of Non-Exclusive Easement to the City of <br />Redlands. <br /> <br />UNDERGROUND FIBER OPTIC FACILTIES LICENSE AGREEMENT <br />The City Council authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the License <br />Agreement for underground fiber optic facilities within the City of Riverside between <br />the City of Riverside and The Regents of the University of California with terms <br />outlined in the staff report. <br /> <br />JOINT ITEM WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - LEAD BASED PAINT <br />HAZARD CONTROL GRANT APPLICATION <br />The City Council received, approved, and ordered filed the grant application as <br />outlined in the written staff report. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-369 <br /> <br /> <br />
